Gramineae Panicum purpurascens Reddi.

Paragrass is a straggling tropical perennial important in Puerto Rico. It forms wide-creeping stolons which root at the nodes. it grows to three feet in height and is valuable both for pasturage and hay. Propagation is by planting pieces of the stolons or sod pieces.
