Rosemary

The plant is a hardy, evergreen shrub, 2 to 4 feet high, native about the Mediterranean Sea. The leaves are narrow and entire. Leaves are used in cooking meats, fish and stews. Such use is more extensive in Europe than in the U.S. Oil of rosemary is obtained by distillation from the leaves.
