Whitetip clover

Leguminosae Trifolium variegatum Nutt. ex Torr. & Gray

This clover is a native in the Pacific States where it occurs frequently in thick stands. It is an annual and may be either summer-annual or winter-annual, depending on the local climate. Flower heads are purple with a white tip. It is repished by livestock both as pasture and as hay.
