Co-op Release Description

Matures September 20 to 26 at Lafayette, Indiana (3 weeks after 'Prima' and with 'Jonathan'). Fruit 2-5/8 to 3 inches, oblate-roundish. Color 50 to 70% washed medium red on a yellow background. Skin smooth. Flesh cream colored, fine grained, very crisp and juicy. Flavor mild sub-acid, slightly spicy. Dessert quality very good. Fruits retain texture and firmness up to 6 months in storage. Field immune to scab and cedar apple rust and has good resistance to mildew. Fireblight susceptible, to be tested in areas where fireblight is not a problem. Nice spreading tree type which comes into bearing early. Tested as CLR20T41.
