U.S. Processing Carrot Production Statistics (1993 - 1997)

Leading producers of carrots for processing are Washington, California, Texas, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Processing carrots were harvested from a total of 22,200 acres in 1997, with a total production of 551,450 tons (average yield = 24.84 tons/acre) and a total value of $37,447,000. In 1997, production of processing carrots was down about 2.7% from 1996.
