U.S. Fresh Market Cucumber Production Statistics (1993 - 1997)

In the United States, production for the fresh market is highest in Florida, Georgia, California and Michigan. A total of 56,050 acres of fresh market cucumbers were harvested in 1997, with a total production of 10,957,000 cwt (average yield = 195 cwt/acre), and a total value of $185,194,000. In 1997, production of fresh market cucumbers was up about 11% from 1996.
