7. Carbamoyl phosphate synthetase

2ATP + CO2 + glutamine + H2O ---> carbamoyl phosphate + glutamic acid + 2ADP + Pi

8. Carbamoyl phosphate: L-ornithine carbamoyltransferase (ornithine transcarbamylase)

Carbamoyl phosphate + ornithine ---> citrulline + Pi

9. Argininosuccinate synthetase

Citrulline + aspartate + ATP ---> argininosuccinate + AMP + PPi

10. Argininosuccinate lyase

Argininosuccinate ---> arginine + fumaric acid

11. Arginase

Arginine + H2O ---> ornithine + urea

12. Urease

Urea + H2O ---> 2NH3 + CO2

13. Arginine deiminase

Arginine + H2O ---> citrulline + NH3
